#BAtourist: Feria del Libro 2016

La feria del libro es mi lugar favorito del planeta, somos muy afortunados de tener la feria del libro más grande de Latinoamérica en nuestra ciudad, donde nos ponemos al dia con los lanzamientos en español y las novedades en inglés, además es una buena oportunidad para conocer autores y editoriales nuevas, sumado a eso las mesas de descuentos que siempre nos hacen felices. 

Our Annual book fair is the most beautiful place on Earth. We're lucky enough to have the biggest book fair in Latin America, in our city, so we need to go and check the releases in spanish and english, get to know new Authors and new Publishers, and of course, enjoy the discounts and sale tables around the place.





Para ser un sábado la feria estaba bastante vacía, asi que aprovechamos para recorrer tranquilas y ver las novedades. Optamos por la entrada para tres visitas porque era más accesible que pagar por un solo dia. Algo que me gustó fue la posibilidad de sacar las entradas con anticipación para evitar tanta fila en el ingreso.

We've been there the first saturday of the fair and it was pretty empty so we took the chance to see everything in a calm and relaxed way. We decided to get the Three-day-pass ticket because it was so much cheaper than the normal ticket and also we got them in advance to avoid the long lines at the doors.

Nuestra misión del día fue encontrar el stand de la Editorial Común, para comprar el nuevo Macanudo de Liniers.

Our first mission was to find the Editorial Comun stand, to get Liniers' new Macanudo (Check his artwork HERE.)

La segunda misión del día fue decidir que edición comprar!

Our second mission: Which cover should we buy? That was a hard one.



Y después de caminar un rato lo encontramos firmando libros.

After the whole thing we found actual Liniers signing books. How amazing was that? He's such a nice dude.



 Lo que si quiero hacer publico es mi queja por los precios. No puedo creer que algo tan sano como leer sea tan caro! Libros arriba de los $300 es algo grave, se complica inculcar el hábito de leer con libros tan caros. Editoriales, hay que hacer que esto cambie de alguna manera.

Salí de la feria sin haber comprado nada. En parte por los precios super elevados y en parte también porque no vi nada que me llamara mucho la atención. Aunque me gustaron mucho los nuevos libros para pintar para adultos. ¡Tengo muchas ganas de empezar a pintar! 

I'd like to make a public complain about how expensive are books in my country. I cannot believe that something so nice and good for everyone as reading could be such an expensive thing! Every single book was up to USD20 in paperback. for us, that is super expensive. To all of the Publishers: We need to do something about that.

I left the Fair with no purchases on the first weekend, and the second one just bought a few pencils. Like for real. on one hand because everything was expensive and in the other, because nothing caught my eye. Although, those new colouring books for adults are so pretty! I might have to buy one for me soon. I'd love to start painting!
