Top 5: Documentales.

Pueden creer que ya estamos en Marzo? El año esta pasando demasiado rápido y no se si me esta gustando eso! Como los trata el año hasta ahora?
Para el post de hoy les quería traer un Monthly Favourites, pero este mes no leí nada, honestamente. Lo que si hice fue reactivar mi cuenta en Netflix, y para aprovecharla decidí ver muchos documentales. Habiendo visto varios en mi tiempo libre decidí traerles un par de recomendaciones en caso que ustedes también tengan ganas de verlos.

Can you believe it's already March? This year's going so fast! How are you guys doing so far? For today's post I wanted to show you my Monthly Favourites but, honestly, I haven't read a single book this month. What I did was reactivate my Netflix Account, and to make the most of it I've decided to watch as much documentaries as I could. So far I've seen quite a few but for now I'd like to share with you a few recommendations in case you guys want to explore this amazing genre.

Snervous - Tyler Oakley

Este es el documental del Youtuber Tyler Oakley, que sigue parte de su vida en tour. Lo que se veia de este documental en Teasers hacia que tuviese muchas expectativas con el resultado final. Pero tengo que admitir que me pareció un poco pobre y también me cambió la forma de ver a Oakley como persona. En si el documental es entretenido, pero no llegó a mis expectativas.

This is Tyler Oakley's Documentary, following part of his life on tour. What we've seen as teasers before the release of the documentary really hyped me up, but I must admit I was a bit dissappointed with the final product; I felt it a bit poor in content and also changed my opinion on Tyler as a person. It is quite entertaining but it wasn't what i was expecting.

The True Cost - Andrew Morgan

Este es un documental que tenia muchas ganas de ver casi desde su estreno. Me atrapó muchisimo, es un documental muy crudo en el que se nos explica, como bien dice el titulo, el verdadero costo de la moda rápida. Consumidores de Forever 21, H&M, Topshop y otros similares, este documental no pueden perdérselo.

This was one of my most anticipated Documentaries, I was really happy to find it on Netflix. It caught me from the very beginning. It's a really crude documentary where we can find the true explanation about fast fashion. As the title says, the true cost of the clothing people gets for really low prices. If you buy clothing from Forever 21, H&M, Topshop and other similar brandings, this is a documentary you can't miss.

 Artifact - Bartholomew Cubbins

Definitivamente uno de mis documentales favoritos. Dirigido por Bartholomew Cubbins, alter ego de Jared Leto, nos traen lo que tendria que haber sido el film de la creación del tercer album de su banda, 30 seconds to mars, pero termina siendo un documental sobre el lado oscuro de las discograficas y la lucha de la banda por salir adelante con la creación de un album, bajo una demanda infundada por parte de su discografica, por 30 millones de dolares. Muy completo, lleno de diferentes opiniones de gente relacionada al ambiente y super facil de entender para el publico en general. Me gusta recomendar este documental cuando cuento que todavia compro CDs fisicos en vez de bajarlos o comprarlos online.

By far one of my favourite documentaries of all time. Directed by Bartholomew Cubbins, Jared Let0's Alter ego, this was supposed to be a film about 30 Seconds to Mars making their third album, but ended up being a documentary about the dark side of record labels and the band's fight to get their album published despite being sued by their own label for 30 million dollars. It's an amazing documentary, filled with opinions and easy explanations about the industry. I like to recommend this documentary every time I say I still buy music, even if I could find it for free everywhere.

Going Clear: Scientology and the Prision of Belief - Alex Gibney

Todos sabemos que Tom Cruise esta/estaba metido en una "Religión" de la cual no se sabia casi nada, y la curiosidad me llevó a ver este documental de dos horas en el que explican con detalles el funcionamiento de la Cienciologia desde el punto de vista de gente que fue parte de la religión y se desvinculó. Si en algun momento les picó la curiosidad, este documental es fundamental.

We all know about Tom Cruise's weird religion, Scientology. Even though we know it exists, we don't actually know anything about it. And my curiosity lead me to this two-hour long documentary just for the sake of learning about it. Here we can find an explanation with full detail about the mechanism of this 'religion' from people that was once part of it. If by any chance you had a bit of curiosity, this is what you need.

The Supergamers - BBC3

Este es un documental hecho por BBC3 y se basa en la cultura poco conocida de los E-sports (Entiendase, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, DOTA, etc.). La magnitud que tiene al rededor del mundo y la vida que llevan los adolescentes que deciden dejar todo para perseguir el sueño de ganar dinero jugando videojuegos. Asi como lo leen! Si bien por mi trabajo conocia bastante del tema, haber visto este documental me hizo apreciar el otro lado de la movida. Si les da curiosidad se los recomiendo!

This is a BBC3 Documentary about E-sports (aka LoL, WoW, DOTA, etc.) Its magnitude around the world and the life of those teenagers that decide to leave everything and pursue the dream of getting money by playing videogames. Yes, that's possible! As part of my job I had the chance to see how this culture is getting bigger but this documentary also got me to see the other side of this movement. 

Todavía tengo varios en mi lista para ver asi que, si les gustó esta entrada, quizás en los favoritos de Marzo les traiga más recomendaciones.
